Mom and Milk

"Thank you sweetie. You remembered to buy my milk."

It's easy to make my Mom happy.

I bought her a 2L carton of 2% milk.
She has substituted this for cream.
It is another one of my Mother's efforts to be more healthy in her diet.

My Mom often tells me,
"You know, it doesn't take a lot to make me happy."

It's true.
During Spring break my Mother couldn't afford to go on vacation, so she spent the time reading Daniel Steele and Anne Rice novels.
She was as happy as a clam, sitting in the recliner, in the television area of the kitchen reading away, oblivious to the world.

Still...I would like for me to help my Mom enjoy her vacations in a somewhat more lavish style.
Then, I can look back at the days when she made do during her vacations with nothing more than a book and smile.
